Ingredients

Venice Turpentine
An antiseptic that threats thrush and some of the bacteria that causes white line disease. It also toughens the hoof, making it more resilient to adverse footing conditions.

Cod Liver Oil
Helps to balance the moisture content and keep the hoof malleable. Cod liver oil is an excellent source of Vitamins A & D.

Wintergreen Oil
A catalyst that helps all the ingredients penetrate the hoof capsule is very effective in drawing out soreness And as an added benefit, it makes Farriers’ Fix smell nice!

Safflower Oil
Works with the Cod Liver Oil to balance the moisture content, and contains Vitamin E.

"Initially, we were attracted to the ingredients in Farriers’ Fix Hoof Oil. With that combination, how could it not be good for the hoof? Since using the oil on a regular basis, we’ve noticed an improvement in the quality of the hoof wall. Now, it’s a staple in our program." -Anne Kursinski, Five-time USET Show Jumping Olympian

Developed by Farriers, for Farriers

"I originally developed this product to sell to other farriers. Like most farriers, I have always encountered the basic problems found in many horses – sore feet, thrush, feet that are either too soft or too hard and brittle, founder (laminitis), quarter cracks and white line disease. I started looking for a topical treatment and experimented with various ingredients until I came up with what I now call Farriers’ Fix Hoof Oil."

Paul Heller, Farrier

Paul has worked as a farrier in Westchester County, New York, since 1972. He primarily shoes USEF “A” Circuit Hunters and, Jumpers as well as upper-level Dressage and Event horses, but prides himself on staying close to his roots, shoeing trail and hunt horses and those living happily in backyards!

It’s great! I love the stuff! It really helps toughen up hooves and getting rid of soreness when feet were hurting after a difficult ride. And it works great on Silva’s dressage horses too!

People can say anything they want and you can believe about half of it! I used farriers fix on a chronic quarter crack and saw the product actually live up to its claims. All products talk the talk, but this one walks the walk! I use and endorse Farriers Fix Hoof Oil.

As long as I have had Valioso (my 11 yr old Lusitano gelding), I have struggled to keep his feet healthy. Being Iberian he has quite narrow feet which causes a number of problems with his frogs and makes him predisposed to thrush and infections. I have tried so many hoof / frog treatments in an attempt to improve the condition of his frogs but nothing has really worked.....until I tried Farriers Fix. I have to say that the Farriers Fix product is by far the best I have come across. It is easy to use and smells great! Within 3 weeks of use the difference was incredible. His frogs are now free from thrush and have a much healthier appearance. After a month of use our farrier could not believe the improvement. I would definately recommend Farriers Fix Hoof formula - thanks to this fantastic product my horse has much healthier feet. I have attached a photo of me and Valioso.

Just bought the big refill can! With all that wet/dry/wet weather we are having, this product keeps my Icelandic Horses' hooves balanced and healthy. The only product my farrier has ever recommended.

I just wanted to email and say how amazing your product is and grateful I am I found it. I have an 18 year old gelding that Has bad feet. I struggle keeping shoes on him year around!  Dry cracked hooves in the summer and soft brittle in the winter. Super slow hoof growth no matter the supplements I feed him. This winter he developed a sever case of white line. I had no idea because I just assumed it was because we had a very wet winter. He lost half his hooves and could hardly walk. I’ve been treating him with white lightening for three weeks. He could still barely walk. I’ve only been using farriers fix for 4 days and he’s already walking better!  I can’t believe it. Thank you thank you!  You’re my savior and I will preach and praise this product until the day I die!!

"I have been using farriers fix on my horse's feet for approximately a year. my 17 year old thoroughbred has always had weak shelly feet since i've had him as a 3 year old. after about 5 days i could see a difference. even my farrier noticed and asked what i did to his feet. they looked healthier and a little more pliable. because of a week hoof and over reaching he was forever losing shoes so i decided to try natural trimming and let him go barefoot. i started this process in may '09. thoroughbreds off the track are known for having no heel. he has actually grown some heal and is now standing up like he should. as of january i was able to ride him barefoot, even over gravel. now he has wonderful healthy feet. last weekend we went foxhunting (barefoot) and he did fine."

"During the summer of 2009, the rainiest season here on record, my performance horse developed two severe abscesses in his hooves.  To say his feet were a mess and needed complete rehabilitation was an understatement.  My farrier said Roman had one good hoof! As a Physical Therapist, I truly understand the importance of sacrificing short term gratification for positive long term results.  Roman needed to be barefoot to achieve the best long term outcome, yet he could not tolerate being barefoot.  Enter Farrier’s Fix.  I initially used it on his feet twice a day for three days, and then once a day for four more days each time his feet were trimmed.  Not only was he able to tolerate being barefoot, and on rock hard frozen ground in upstate NY, but he enjoyed being lightly ridden as well, something we did not anticipate him being able to do for another four months time! Roman’s feet also look better now than they ever have since I have known him.  If your horse has sore feet, or feet in poor condition, use Farrier’s Fix! It will be the best money you ever spent for the health and happiness of your horse!"

Dear Paul Heller, Since I started using Farrier's Fix hoof oil as fungal and microbe control I have seen tremendous results. Alot of the horses I trim and shoe are on rocky, moist ground and I find that fungal activity runs rampant in the more warmer seasons here in Upstate NY. Due to these condition I see a lot of black-fungus eaten whitelines, deterierated frogs, pitted fungus-eaten thin soles and tenderness due to the lack of protection. My customers also love this product, as many of them have seen great results since I introduced them to 'Farrier's Fix' hoof oil. I find that it not only helps prevent those stinky fungus problems, but also cures them and with less applications then any other product. 'Farriers's Fix' not only penetrates but also has a residual effect, thus making the feet resistant to fungal and microbe growth with little effort. Usually only applied once a week to once everyother week. As I understand it, it actually changes the pH balance of the foot in a manner that hinders fungus and bacteria habitation. Most other products merely kill off the outer layer of infection/fungus. Those products also need a more continuous upkeep of application. It has replaced many topical ointments for thrush and fungus we have previously used. In fact, I recommend it to all my customers, especially with barefooted horses where wall and sole integrity is crucial. It has helped some of my shod horses even go barefoot, now that enough sole grows that a shoe is no longer needed to save the sole from bruising. I will continue to use and turn-on more people to this product because it not only does it work but saves time and money as well as the horse from injury. I find this product to be the most beneficial to horses in these damp, moist conditions in keeping good healthy feet.
